SCHEDULING AVAILABILITY
Our primary office is located in Santa Barbara. We also offer a limited number of sessions in downtown San Francisco. Remote Zoom Sessions are available for coaching and energy healing if you cannot visit one of our office locations.
Sessions in all locations are currently waitlisted. If you are an existing client, and would like to book, please text us and let us know your name, your location, and how urgent your need for bodywork is. We will get back to you as soon as we have an opening, or attempt to make an appropriate referral if you need support before we are able to offer it.
If you are disabled or otherwise unable to travel to an office, Travel Sessions to your home are available on a limited and as-needed basis.

COVID-19 POLICY
We continually monitor and follow all legal requirements for COVID-19
– Brenda is fully vaccinated and boosted.
– We have N-95 masks available.
– Treatment rooms have HEPA air filters and openable windows for air flow.
– Equipment is cleaned between sessions.
CANCELLATION POLICY/CHANGING YOUR APPOINTMENT
How to Cancel: You may notify us of cancellations by email, text message, phone call, or voicemail.
Early Cancellation: If you notify us earlier than 48 hours before the start of your session, it is considered Early Cancellation. There is no charge to cancel or reschedule during the early cancellation period.
Late Cancellation: If you notify us less than 48 hours before the start of your session, or fail to notify us (“no-show”), you will be charged for the full price of the session.
We make exceptions for the following circumstances:
1. You were asymptomatic during the Early Cancellation period, but developed Covid symptoms, tested positive for Covid, or had a confirmed exposure to Covid in the 48 hours before your session.
2. We’re able to find a mutually workable time to reschedule you during the same week (this can be difficult, especially in SF, but we would give you priority scheduling and do our best)
3. We’re able to fill your spot with someone else (this can also be difficult last minute, but we always try our best)
Gift Your Session: If you do have to late cancel and are already paying for the time, we offer you the opportunity to gift the session, as booked, to a friend or loved one.
Reciprocity: If we have to late cancel on you, we will owe you an extra session of the same length.
San Francisco: Because of the nature of our San Francisco trips, we have a different policy in place. You will be asked to read and sign the full policy before booking a session at our San Francisco office. If you would like this information before joining our waitlist, please feel free to request it from our Customer Care Team.
PAYMENT
You can make payment at time of booking, or at the time of your session. We take cash, Zelle, Venmo, check (made out to Embodied Power), and credit card.
We do not accept insurance, but many HSA (Health Spending Account) or FSA (Flex Spending Accounts) cards cover Massage Therapy services directly.
If you’d like to seek reimbursement from your health insurer, or settlement from a car accident or other lawsuit, we are happy to give you a payment receipt to submit. We are not able to process submissions for reimbursement for you, or delay taking payment until the reimbursement or settlement is processed.
TRAVEL SESSIONS
If you are disabled or otherwise unable to travel to an office, Travel Sessions to your home are available on a limited and as-needed basis. Text us to inquire about availability.
Travel fee: Starts at $250 per visit for set up and breakdown time, plus 15 minutes drive time in each direction.
If a longer travel time is required, travel fee will increase based on required drive time.
The travel fee is per location, not per session. So if you book for multiple people (you and a loved one or friend) back to back, savings are significant.
